Session

Clerk of Session - Records and types up minutes of regular and special Session meetings.  Keeps the record books (session, members, etc) up-to-date.  Prepares end-of-year reports.
 

Administrative - Facilitates the work of the session between regular session meetings and provides the church staff with a sounding board when access to a working committee is not possible or appropriate.
 

Building & Grounds - Responsible for the maintenance, purchase, protection, and use of all church property and equipment, and supervises the use of all church facilities.

 

Christian Education - Administers and supervises the teaching ministry of the church, i.e.., the Church School programs and the annual fundraiser for Christian Ed., our Pancake Supper.
 

Congregational Fellowship - Responsible for programs in the church, such as the establishment of small groups, establish and maintain contact with members who are inactive, responsible for fellowship activities that involve the entire congregation.
 

Evangelism & Spiritual Life - Enables the congregation to reach into its community in such a way that the un-devout might find their way to Jesus Christ and His Church.  To assimilate active members into the life and work of the church.
 

Finance, Mission & Scholarship - Plan and manage the annual budget plus any special fundraisers; be responsible agents of the session, the congregation and corporation relative to the receipt, management, disbursements, and accountability of all funds of the congregation including all the subsidiary organizations.
 

Mission & Social Justice - To supervise, educate, direct and motivate the congregation, its individual members and groups in regards to opportunities for the mission of the church to its local community, state, nation and world.
 

Worship & Music - Supervise and direct those functions relating to the corporate worship and devotional life of the congregation, including the choir.

 

Personnel - Review and evaluate job descriptions of employees and volunteers of the church.

Board of Deacons - To minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress.  They also assume such other duties as may be delegated to them from time to time by the session.
